Kay Long Kay is responsible for all Human Resource Management, Administrative and Special Events functions of Tailwind and major purchasing. She joined the Tailwind staff in 1997 following her retirement from a 30-year career with the Federal Government. Kay spent most of her 30 years in the Dallas Regional Office of the Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) where she progressed through several areas of specialization, including recruitment and placement, records management, classification, employee relations and labor relations. • Began her business career with the U.S. Air Force at Randolph Air Force Base working in the School Squadron of the Strategic Air Command which provided flight crew training for the KC-97 Air Refueling Tanker. • Recognized within the Department of HHS as an expert in the area of Federal staffing and placement activities. • Consulted to speak and train both within the Department of HHS and within other Agencies and Departments of the Federal government on Human Resource Management. • Following her retirement, she has provided training and guidance within the DHHS on a contractual basis. :: Return to the Tailwind Staff page ::
